Work:
Aside from working on commissions, I am the student assistant to the Distributed Academic Technology Coordinator, where I assist faculty on their computer-based projects. I am also the instructor for MUSC 4081: Introduction to Music Technology. On top of that, I am currently assisting CU professor Daphne Leong in creating a real-time beat analysis software package.
Music:
I have had over a dozen premieres since arriving at Case in 2002, and several in and around the Boulder/Denver area. I also worked on an acoustics research project and have organized and produced several recording sessions. I am also the principal saxophonist in: University Circle Wind Ensemble, Case Symphonic Winds, Case Saxophone Quartet.
Sports:
I am a thirteen-time fencing medalist in the Bluegrass State Games. I am also an avid indoor/outdoor rock climber and have summitted twelve mountains throughout North America and Europe. The highest was an 18,700 ft peak in Mexico called Orizaba. I am a karate cross-disciplinary black belt equivalent, and I also enjoy dog-sledding and tennis, as weather permits. Since the fall of 2003, I have kept in shape by playing racquetball and cycling on a daily basis.
